The Brazoswood Bucs JV Blue team traveled to Clear Lake Thursday night to face the Falcons. The wind caused some adversity for both sides all game long. After giving up an early score the Bucs defense shut the Falcons out for the rest of the game holding them to only 6 points. Running Back Sherman Wade had another solid game running the football, his number was called often and he was able to keep the ball moving. After a long reverse run by Wide Receiver Trent Waterbury for 70 yards, the Bucs were able to put the ball in the endzone on a short Quarterback run by Westin Lummus. After the score the Bucs never looked back, the defense played great sacking the Clear Lake QB’s in the backfield consistently by Defensive Lineman Mason Folkert and Jayden Malone. Defensive Back Jeramie Villanueva made a big interception stopping a Falcon drive. Running Back Sherman Wade was able to break through the Falcon defense to score on a 35 yard run. Every time Wide Receiver Trent Waterbury caught the ball he made big plays, taking a short screen pass 60 yards to the goal line and several short passes one that he turned into a 65 yard touchdown. The Bucs win with the final score of 21-6.


Next week the Bucs play Clear Falls at home for the final game of the season.
