The Brazoswood Bucs JV teams combined to play the Clear Spring Chargers at home Wednesday night. After an early Chargers score the defense responded well with a fumble recovery by Defensive Back Rene Scorza returned for a 43 yard touchdown. The Offense started the game off slow but was able to get things going in the second half. Quarterback Braxton Welch threw the ball well connecting several different receivers throughout the game. Welch was able to connect with Wide Receiver Trenton Waterbury consistently. Waterbury was able to get behind the defense several times and made 2 outstanding catches both resulting in touchdowns. Defensive End Mason Folkert once again played a great game up front, adding up several tackles for loss and sacks. Folkert was constantly putting pressure on the Clear Spring Quarterback. The Bucs fought hard but came up short, 33-19.


Next week the JV Blue will travel to Clear Lake to face the Falcons on Thursday at 4:30. JV Silver will travel to George Ranch to play the Longhorns at 4:30.
