The Brazoswood Bucs JV Blue team faced the Clear Creek Wildcats on Saturday morning. They responded after an early Wildcat touchdown with their own 30 yard touchdown pass thrown from QB Braxton Welch to WR Austin Crainer to take the lead 7-6. The defense played a tough first half shutting down the Wildcat offense. Defensive Tackle Noe Maldonado was constantly putting pressure on the Wildcat QB with several sacks and tackles for loss and played well against the run. DB Jamie Godoy also came up with a big interception to end one of the Wildcats drives. RB Sherman Wade ran the ball hard all game long, behind the outstanding efforts from the Offensive Line including standout LG John Charles. Unfortunately, the Bucs came up short at the end with the final score 20-10.


Next week the JV Blue team will be on a bye, preparing for Dickinson the following week.
